Aquatic Plants
Aquatic Plants provide so much to our aquariums. They provide a natural looking backdrop for our homes, shade and breeding grounds for our fish. But above all else they help massively with the water quality in our tanks. One of the nutrients plants use as a food source is nitrates. Nitrates are a by product of our filters which breakdown our fish waste from their raw harmful forms in the less harmful nitrates. Live plants keep these nitrates low by using them as food - win win all round.
